Cardio is an events and points-tracking app used by St. Paula & St. Antony youth meetings (St Mary & Martyr Abou Sefein Church, Sharjah, UAE). This policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.
Information We Collect
Account information: name, email address, and an optional phone number, provided when you register.
Profile photo: optional, if you choose to upload one.
Role and meeting affiliation: whether you are a youth member, servant, or admin, and which meeting (St. Paula, St. Antony, or joint events) you belong to.
Team assignment: if you are assigned to a team for an event.
Points and activity history: points earned, redeemed, or granted, including the reason, timestamp, and the servant/admin who recorded each transaction.
Room assignments: for multi-day events, which room you are assigned to (admin-entered).
Push notification token: a device identifier used to deliver event announcements and updates, if you allow notifications.
Authentication data: handled securely by Firebase Authentication (Google); we do not store your password.
How We Use This Information
To operate event registration, attendance, points, and rewards features within the app.
To send you announcements and updates about events you're registered for.
To allow servants and admins to manage events, teams, rooms, and points on behalf of the church youth ministry.
Who Can See Your Information
Your name, team, and points are visible to servants and admins, who use this information to run events. Other youth members can see team-level information (e.g. team names and combined team points) but not other individuals' personal contact details.
Data Storage
All data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore database, Firebase Authentication, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications). We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your account data is retained while your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the details below.
Children's Privacy
This app is intended for use by registered members of the St. Paula & St. Antony youth ministry, under the supervision of church servants and admins. Account registration requires an email address; parents/guardians of younger members may contact us with any privacy concerns.
